Summary
To use the quadbuffer stereoscopy feature of MiddleVR, you need to make sure that 3D Vision is disabled.
Note: this seems to be less true with Windows 8 and Windows 10, which seem to require, on some setups, that 3D Vision is enabled.
Symptoms
The bad behavior could have very different forms depending of your system, but here are some examples:
- Wrong colors
- Bad camera point of view
- Bad stereoscopic effect
- Big additional latency compared to monoscopic with “Force DirectX > OpenGL”
Troubleshooting
- Go to the “Set Up Stereoscopic 3D” tab of the Nvidia Control Panel.
- Make sure that “Enable stereoscopic 3D” is unchecked.
