LM-X, creators of the license system we use specifies that:
“The problem is that the user is not allowed to write to either his home directory or c:\windows\temp. Typically we store files there and if they are not accessible then they cause timeouts during the checkout process. Please verify permissions and it should work.”
A user reports the following:
I do have admin rights and I do have access to C:\Windows\Temp folder. However the User Access Control Settings required manual entry browsing into the folder by hitting a button to continue into the folder. Plus the folder was Read Only. Therefore I disabled UAC altogether and made C:\Windows\Temp not read only. All this helped as MiddleVR started up instantly on my client machine in my office
